The Broad Ripple Village Association, Do317 and The Vogue welcome back for the first time in 12 years the Taste of Broad Ripple, coming to one of Indianapolis’ most vibrant and historic neighborhoods. The action-packed one-day festival will bring the best local food, beer and live music to the streets of Broad Ripple Village this summer on Saturday, June 17, 2017, from 3 to 10 p.m.

Home to an eclectic mix of local restaurants, independently owned shops and renowned bars and brew pubs, Broad Ripple is recognized as one of the most creative areas of Indianapolis, shaped by its nearby parks, the Central Canal, the Monon Trail and the winding White River. The Taste of Broad Ripple will embody no less, representing the essence of the only cultural district outside of downtown.

“I’m really excited about bringing back the Taste of Broad Ripple,” said Steven Ross, Festival Organizer. “The Taste is a great way to show everybody what Broad Ripple Village has – a cool entertaining atmosphere, a variety of tasty cuisine and great craft beer! Come experience the flavor that is (the Taste of) Broad Ripple.”

An all-ages event with several thousand expected to attend, the Taste of Broad Ripple will feature several interactive areas, including a Chef’s Night Off Tent with a Kid’s Pizza Making Contest from 3-5 p.m. and Chef Cook-Off from 5-7 p.m., a Kids-Only Area open from 3-6:30 p.m. with a Colts Interactive Museum, face painting and bounce house, a Monarch Beverage and Yuengling Beer Garden open from 3-9:30 p.m., featuring Yuengling and other select beers, and a Fresh Thyme tent.

Headlining the main stage will be regular Vogue sell-out act Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press, an interactive party band covering sing-along hits from the ‘80s to now. Additional performers will include The Easthills, Audiodacity and the Kyle Bledsoe Trio.

Main entrances for the festival will be located at Broad Ripple Ave. and N. Guilford Ave. (near Starbucks) and the north side of Rainbow Bridge. Streets will be closed from the intersection of N. Guilford Ave. and Broad Ripple Ave. to the north side of Rainbow Bridge on Guilford, and part of Westfield Blvd. to N. Winthrop Ave.

Parking: Free shuttles will run throughout festival hours to and from the Glendale Mall parking lot east of the area, and additional parking is TBD. There will be no cost to park at either location.

Tickets: Tickets are $7 at the gate (cash only, ATMs available) or in advance (plus applicable fees if purchased online) at www.ticketfly.com. FREE admission for children ages 10 and under. 10% of all ticket sale income will be donated to Second Helpings to benefit their programs to help relieve hunger in Central Indiana.
